Reason being that this morning when I drove into work I hit a deer.

I was driving along on a 70 Kmh stretch of road, when I spotted a deer jumping out of the ditch a way ahead of me, so I started to slow down, since they usually come in two's or more the silly things.

And sure enough, when I had managed to get my speed down to about 20 km/h one of the silly buggers jumped up more or less right in front of me, needless to say, I stood on the brakes, but couldn't stop in time, so I clipped the poor thing.

It skidded over the raod and into the ditch on the other side, I turned on my warning lights and stopped, got out and checked, but the poor thing had managed to get up and run off into the woods. So naturally I called the police so they could send out someone to track it down.

I couldn't have hit it that hard since there wasn't even a dent on the car, and no smashed headlights or anything, and there was dropplets of saliva on one of the headlights, so it must have smashed it's head against one of those, and by the other headlight there was a tuft of hair stuck to the car.

I'm glad nothing worse happened to me, the dogs or the car, but I still feel concerned about the poor deer.
it's amazing what those buggers can survive! it's equally amazing how long they can continue on more than half dead! it's great that they have that policy!

you can take the goggies to work!? how fantastic!

be honest now Am, you're recovering from your night of cleaning up the mess the Yeti left behind!
