Raskolnikov never struck me as the übermensch type, certainly he had some will, but that didn't define him, he had some ambition, but not unlimited ambition. I got the impression he wished to be nothing more than a benevolent autocrat, he recognized all his moral limitations even before the crime. Dunno, it was one of the first books I ever read so very long ago.
I think Pyotr Stepanovich Verkhovensky from "The Possessed" fits the role of übermensch better, which I thought was a very memorable character.
