Your explanation in this and the other thread helped me to understand the problem, even if I am not very happy.
Dropping XPDF would be a disaster in this example unless they figure how to flip (toggle?) the drop capital graphic to before the line.
Running "Suvudu" books through Calibre ends up with a really annoying fingerprint just before the page number and I am no wizard enough to make a custom filter to process it out.
