I had the same problem, no companion software and when I found a version in internet and I load it doesn't works, I putted a tread but nobody answer me correctly.
When I updated to the latest version of firmware the companion software desappear of my SD. I'm happy 'cause the Dr works great but I can't print my pdf documents with the annotations...and no answers from the Irex company.
