I'm sorry things didn't work out. Ferrets are no cake walk, that's for sure. It takes a lot of training to break their instinct to poop in the first corner they find. Even then there are occasional slip ups... especially when they're young. (Since they always go right after waking up, placing a litter box in a corner near where they sleep or putting them back in their cage helps)
