I find the ereader screens I've seen to be too lacking in contrast. The background seems greenish to me. On my iPhone, the Kindle app and a couple of others have a sepia setting which I find much more comfortable than either the ereaders or the standard lcd backgrounds & contrasts. So what I think that color will bring is a wider range of contrasts & backgrounds.
