Am, I hope you feel better soon. I wish I had a great home remedy but I just drink A LOT of water.

Shannon has been sick with the flu since a week ago Thursday and still sounds like she's trying to cough up a lung. She went to the doctor's last Friday and he told her that she had the flu, but probably NOT the Swine variety. He said the only way to know for sure was to take the test, but she would have to go to our local hospital to have it done and then her health insurance probably wouldn't pay for it (the cost would be close to $800 US). He did give her a prescription for something called tameflu (sp?) which you are supposed to take in the first 48 hours of the flu, but she didn't get it filled right away so that it was too late to be effective. So far, knock on wood (No, not that Wood), no one else in the family has gotten sick yet. Of course, I disinfected every surface in the house and quarantined Shannon for the first few days.
