I have the 300 and the 505.

I find the 300 to better to carry around, to read on the bus or at lunch.

OTOH, the 505 is better for reading at home, or to take on the plane or other trip where the convenience of the 300 is not a factor. I use the flash card for music that works while I'm reading.

Each makes me appreciate the virtues of the other!
