I consider Wilhelm one of my favourite authors, and that book was one of only a couple that I've considered to be "life changing" as I read them. (The other would be The Child Garden by Geoff Ryman.) I've been affected in a similar vein by two movies Truly, Madly, Deeply and Until The End Of The World.
