I just picked up a Sony Reader while on a business trip. Too busy to actually do much with it over the past few days I hope to have some time to explore and find out about it this weekend.

I found the MobileRead forum this morning and I'm really glad that I did. I am sure that what I don't know about e-reading would fill my reader but it looks like there are a lot of good answers here, and as a voracious reader I am looking forward to peoples recommendations in trying to find new authors.

I live in Calgary, Canada, with my adult daughter who is soon to leave the nest and our dog. I do a lot of business travel and first saw one of the Sony Readers on a flight through Canada's Northwest Territories. I knew the moment I saw it that there would be one in my travel bag someday.
