I puzzled over that comment, as well, since Calibre looks and behaves mostly the same in Windows and the Mac. The only conclusion I could draw was he was referring to an expectation by Mac users that applications use only a single windowing toolkit, are generally more polished, and follow a consistent set of UI guidelines.
