I think you'll find there's one of everything being used by Australians. I've got a Sony 505.

With bit of fiddling around on ebook files and the help of the Calibre software, it's almost generic.

This model of the Sony is no longer made. I like it so much that I'm still trying to decide whether I should buy a back-up while they're still available.

There are other brands available in Australia. If you tell us where you are in Australia, someone might advise you on where you can see a demonstration.
