Robert Jordan died in September 2007, so his estate and publishers hired
Brandon Sanderson to write part 12 to conclude series.
It turned out, however, that
The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills, and even the mighty Publishers are only the thread of the Pattern and it will take a few more spins of The Wheel Of Time until the series is finished. At the moment that part 12 already has three parts. Please remember, that when the grand master writer Jordan started to write series he was planning some three books. By writing the book one he apparently unleashed some forces that can not be stopped by mere mortals, or even Publishers.
