Speaking of which, you'll likely have noted other authors here include in their signatures links to their work or website. Most folks here seem to like that, because it identifies you as an author (readers like writers, see  ), and also lets them go find "new stuff" not predicated by retailer-preference. You might want to do that, if possible.

Thanks for the excellent pointers. I've given it a try and hope it comes out looking decent. Stories I can tell, dialogue I can write (we're talking about after many drafts, of course), but this message board world still has its mysteries for me.
Okay, now we'll see if what I did actually took!
