It's difficult to separate the truth from the nonsense in what you write--so I won't.
PDF is the
only good eBook format. But, alas, no professional quality eBooks made for eBook reading devices are sold in that format. What is sold will indeed (99% of the time) be substandard when viewed on an eBook reading device.
On the other hand... I'd love to see a prettier eBook of
Casanova's memoirs than my own. Or have ePub or any other similar textwrapper format replicate the sort of thing in the
ἐγκώμιον and
színjáték.
