He only did it for the one book to celebrate the Hugo Award. The reason I mentioned it above was because it's one webcomic which has released a 'book' in PDF format, and did so from the original computer source files so we're not dealing with scans of printed material (so the picture quality is maximized, outside of whatever artifacts the conversion-to-PDF would've introduced).
