RESOLVED: Linux kernel doesn't detect PRS-600 external memory
I've recently purchased a memory stick pro duo (2G) for my PRS-600. When the card is in the reader and the reader is plugged into the computer only the internal memory is detected by Linux.
I get this output from dmesg:
usb 1-5: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5
usb 1-5: configuration #1 chosen from 2 choices
scsi13 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
usb-storage: device found at 5
usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning
scsi 13:0:0:0: Direct-Access Sony PRS-600 1.00 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2
usb-storage: device scan complete
sd 13:0:0:0: [sde] 802560 512-byte logical blocks: (410 MB/391 MiB)
sd 13:0:0:0: [sde] Write Protect is off
sd 13:0:0:0: [sde] Mode Sense: 0f 00 00 00
sd 13:0:0:0: [sde] Assuming drive cache: write through
sd 13:0:0:0: [sde] Assuming drive cache: write through
sde:
sd 13:0:0:0: [sde] Assuming drive cache: write through
sd 13:0:0:0: [sde] Attached SCSI removable disk
It doesn't not detected even the presence of the memorystick. Is there any particular kernel config option I am supposed to have selected? My kernel is custom and thus doesn't have support for everything.
Thanks,
Steve Inkpen
