However, I just noticed the site gives absolutely no description for the e-books... any of mine, and including Black Silk. Pretty pointless to have books with no covers, no descriptions, that you can't download, huh?

Ah, just goes to show that you don't understand the principles of Marketing. This stratagem allows B&N to announce that there are 500,000 free books on their website.
