I've been playing around with the LRF creation tools a bit.
From the LRS specification it looks like SONY supports buttons that can be either images (with various states) or even text. (see CharButton)

Plus you can assign an action to the button such as pop-up a window or play a sound.

I couldn't figure out how to do this.
I didn't have time to upload images so I tired creating a text button which in my understanding should work like a hypertext link -- you click on it (with the little joystick I guess) -- and something happens.

Did anyone have luck with this? Has anyone tried?
Buttons don't seem to be supported in BookDesigner... you need to manually edit the LRS file.

ps. I'm angry at SONY for saying that the Reader supports not-encrypted LRF (=BBeB) files, but they don't give any hints for how to create those.
