I got some more of these emails which say the same thing, and definitely think BooksonBoard is taking a jab at Shortcovers. The problem is that Shortcovers has access to Random House Canada books which are not available elsewhere.
Right now with the exchange rate where it is at, the books are cheaper to buy from the US sites in US dollars as the prices offered in CND on Shortcovers are not competitive, Shortcovers has to give a discount on the CND prices to compete right now. The BOB deal undermines this effort as it is a better buy to get from them at a discount from the USD prices. For me it is BOB for international fiction, Shortcovers for Canadian fiction.
