I was feeling some buyers remorse when the new bling showed up, but now that I have the reader, I like it a lot. It feels very solid - aluminum, not plastic. The screen isn't as reflective as I expected (although I can see how readability could be better without it). I spent sometime reading last night, and it was very pleasant. It works better with diffuse lighting, but it you have a single light source, you just have to angle it a bit to see the text perfectly clearly.

As far as the holes, thanks for the explanation! I get my M-Edge cover today, so I will see how that goes (it is the cover for the 700). I thought the holes might have been for some tool to open the book up, but they make sense for a cover.
