I agree the battery life thing is of great interest. If, like the Pocket Pro, the user could change the battery, then perhaps short battery life wouldn't be as much of a factor.

Most is based on the facts. I agree we have to wait till the actual product, but in my experience battery life is always worse than the manufacturer specs say.
Also, I'm not the kind of guy that carries spare batteries around. I'm all about ease of use. That's why I'm buying an eReader.
Next thing you know, you need an external charger, so you can use the reader while charging. You forget your spare batteries, forgot to charge the extra battery, etc. I had an extra battery for a phone once, it's just extra hassle.
But I agree. We'll have to see when it comes out. I'd be surprised if there weren't some first-generation problems though. This is the first B&N device ever right? (not that they made it all by themselves prolly, but still..)
