However mine had very similar problems to you - the bolt on the charger showed all the time regardless whether it was charging (it is not normal I'm afraid kindlekitten, so you may have a problem).
Page turns seem clunky and did not always work and everything was dog slow (remember I had something to compare it against)
I tried a hard reset (power button for 15 secs) still no joy.
Anyway on further investigation I found out that it came very low on power and according to amazon it take about 6 hours to charge off of a USB port, not the 3 hours implied everywhere that charging is mentioned.
It is now working just brill - I did a hard reset again, holding the power button for a count of at least 30 secs, charged it using a wall socket rather than USB, finally got the green light, did another hard reset as before and now it works just as fast and smooth as the wifes and the power bolt has been replaced by the charge level indicated when not plugged in to charge.
Must say I am very impressed, with the whole things, the wireless delivery is just awesome had my first 10 books delivered and my first book read by this evening.
Anyway hope this helps mack120

There are some people that are having issues with the new Astak Pocket Pros that I believe are similar. Needs a good charging and a firm reset.
