The crashing of my DR1000S does get a bit annoying but until these new devices hit the street and people get to use them its not clear that they will be any better with very large PDF files. All of the small e-ink devices are useless to me, the new B&N looks kind of cool but I don't need a small reader. Still DRs only competition is the Kindle DX and it bends the DX over a sink. Plastic Logic is the only device I'm waiting to see but unless my DR breaks I won't be rushing out to buy it even with their sleek pictures on the website.

I'm glad that there are a lot of other devices coming out and I hope they will eventually be better than the DR1000S at a cheaper price so my replacement cost goes down, as is if my DR broke today I'd be stuck without a reader for the next 6 months until a new larger screen device hits market
