It's too bad you feel that way. I've only had good experiences with my Iliad and my DR1000. It's one of the few readers that is completely open. Granted, they could fix the bugs faster, but none have been show stoppers for me.
I hope you have a better experience with what you get next, but remember, almost all readers have some weakness. It comes down to how the strengths and weaknesses match what you want.
