eReader had earlier stated their intent to move to an epub based format, but using their own drm scheme. Everyone was concerned that it would be some sort of hack not supported by Adobe, but this doesn't seem to be an issue now with the Adobe announcement.
Fictionwise already seems to be pushing the ereader format more than their other formats so it would seem logical they will offer epub via that channel when it's available. I can't help but wonder how long it will be before fictionwise is completely folded into the B&N business. Seems like multiple stores just increases cost and decreases your marketing benefit. Move to a standard format and let other devices use it. You potentially win on the device and content side with that model.
