I do not know what kind of error message you get.
Recently when I bought another book, my credit card payment was not accepted because of my location. In that case they checked the country of my IP-address. For buying that book I have bought a prepaid USA VPN account at
www.alwaysvpn.com (just $8,50). Using this alwaysvpn account I could buy the book without a problem.
This only happened with this one book. All books after this one I could buy without a problem (including the J.D. Robb novel), so I am not sure if you are having the same problem.
