On a side note, I wonder what the deal is with the website. You guys & even gizmodo have been saying it was/is down or people couldn't find specs. It's been up here since Engadget posted their story a few hours ago.
I've been holding off on getting a new reader since my lady "borrowed" my 505 (I get the strange feeling she's never going to be finished with it...). This one looks pretty sweet. The things I'm wondering about though:
Does it support DRM'd books purchased elsewhere?
Does it support Audible?
What about sorting? Are there collections?
Do they provide a way to convert files to a compatible format (like a .doc, etc.)
I'm sort of happy about the Nov. 30 date as it will leave me no choice but to wait. I still have a sneaky feeling that Apple's tablet will be the game changer. I know if I go ahead and order a Nook, Apple's device will have color, "digital magazines" with audio & video, interactive books, etc. all purchased through iTunes & updated daily like a podcast.
If nothing comes from Apple, I think this would make a nice x-mas gift to myself.
