No updates on the IREX website, so they might as well hide under a rock and die now that the nook and its glorious web site is up.

The only thing going for the IREX DR800SG is the Verizon coverage, included cover, and most importantly a higher resolution. Why can't e-ink make denser displays? I'll have to wait to see how the Nook handles viewing PDFs and Images (comics/manga).

Not sure if the nook will have a web browser like the kindle, but the IREX definitely does not:

—Web browsing disabled: The iRex doesn’t have e-mail and it won’t have web browsing. “We have the capability but purposely didn’t enable it,” says Hamilton. The Kindle includes an “experimental” bare-bones browser. “It’s not a very nice experience. The formats are off, it’s always garbled.” Plus, “somebody has to pay for the network time.”
Well, at least now I can use my American Express points to get BN gift cards towards this...
