Just have a look. There are quite a few of those importers doing a *very* brisk business.

This is why we grumble so much about prices in Europe / Australia / UK / South America / NZ / [insert your location here] in comparison with US prices.
Even after paying for:
1. fee for proxy company for use or their Credit Card with USA billing address
2. warehousing and handling fee
3. transportation goods
4. high Value Added Tax
5. customs
6. [bribes] ;-)

You can still very often buy electronics / fashion / photo equipment / jewellery / sports goods / car parts considerably cheaper.
(You can also buy cars very cheap, but if you think that buying a Reader is hassle, try to find out what hoops they make you jump in EU when you want to import a car individually purchased in USA)
