I don't expect to buy a lot of books through Amazon. For one thing, the prices don't seem cheaper than anywhere else I can buy those geo-restricted books. It would be convenient though - but then I would probably still de-DRM any books I bought at Amazon, just in case.

I think it's simply because those stores are not enforcing the restrictions. Remember Fictionwise didn't use to enforce them either. I expect that it's possible that it could change form day to day, so I don't put off buying any books I'm interested in - if the price is good, of course
