The template is not quite ready yet, but I thought I'd show some work in progress and ask for help at the same time.

Anybody can suggest more tasteful ways of framing (or presenting some other way) the illustrations? For some reason the \framebox command does not produce consistent spacing/borders between the frame and the contained image.

Otherwise it doesn't look too bad so far.
