The Kindle DX displays PDFs OK - the problem is that displaying them is basically all it does. It has no support for hyperlinks or the table of contents in a PDF; no searching and no annotation; displaying is all that it does. Compare that to the full functionality of the iRex and it's very much a case of "you get what you pay for".
