Children grown, no grandchildren, one Jewish person, one atheist in the household, we ignore christmas. Besides, it's summer down here in antipodean New Zealand when the day comes around. This year we are travelling to Auckland to spend the time with similarly christmas-detached friends. Switching off from the media/retail hype gets easier with practice.
