Good points...
Only prob I see with with fixing it yourself is if they have a problem with something as simple as the freaking case, what corners were cut on the guts of the thing?
Now it's not an Astak only thing as the Bebook Mini is having the same case issue...I would return and get a refund...I mean if you are going to spend so much time waiting, why not look into devices without these probs, then again for people who have not had probs, they really seem to like the Bebook Mini/PP OEM re-badged clones.
There will be sub-$199 readers before the end of the year that are at least as featured and, gawds no less stable...I hope...

....as these current readers...right now there really seem to be QC issues with the actual plant(s) that makes the readers.
