It took me much longer than planned, there was mechanical problems with my plane and traffic in Northern Virginia was a nightmare when I did arrive, but I'm finally home.

On a side note, please tell your brother to stop winning the farking games in the last two minutes. I'm going to have a heart attack.

I think he would like to stop that trend, as well. The media is starting to call them the "Cardiac Cats" with good reason.

The worst thing is watching the game on TV with my mom (I could have been at the game in Baltimore, but my flight got in too late to get onto the team flight) and hoping SHE didn't have a heart attack!
I have to tell you, the Bengals organization was incredible and took care of everything for Mike and us. Their business manager helped make all the arrangements and we never had to worry about a thing other than dealing with our grief. Every defensive player (and almost all of the offense) came to the funeral as did the coaches and management (Mrs. Mike Brown is a delightful lady). Even the Cincinnati police force was phenominal in dealing with traffic (it was a little surreal riding in what seemed like a Presidential motorcade) and the media was extremely respectful. No matter where Mike goes in the future, the Bengals have earned a life long fan in me.

Hugs, Kaz I've never been to Cincy, although I was thinking about you the other day when thinking about how bad I want to go to Chicago.

Thanks for the hugs and I wish I could get back to Chicago sometime soon, too!

I was sitting on an airport terminal shuttle on my way to Cincinnati when a young woman sat down next to me and started hacking and coughing and blowing her nose. I wanted to ask her if she was sure she should be getting on a plane where the spread of whatever virus she was carrying was almost a certainty.

I figured, on top of everything else, that was the last thing I needed but, since Murphy's Law seems to be a big part of my life, would definitely be the case. Thankfully, her gate was in the opposite direction from mine and I was spared. I guess Vikki was looking out for me.

I did see a few people in the airport wearing surgical type masks and wished I had thought of that.
