That's not the reason. It's because one Mars year is just slightly less than 2 Earth years meaning that all their deadlines are double the time on earth:
"We will deliver in 6 months" (omitting the MTZ, Mars Time Zone) means 6 months * 1.9 = 11 months and 12 days
I wonder what's the value of "We will deliver soon" soon * 1.9 = ?
