With much Canadian Thanksgiving we celebrate the joyous stumbling upon of our continent by Columbus!

Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians! (BTW- do you celebrate with turkey and stuffing, mashed plain and/or sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and pumkin pie? Just curious...)

We celebrate Columbus Day with federal closings, no banking and no mail and a day off school for those who are in school and probably don't know who Columbus even is.

So, Happy Columbus Day to those who work in banks or other federal offices, mail carriers and school children across the country! The rest of us (with jobs) still have to work. Actually I would celebrate if my husband HAD a job to go to today!
