My point, exacly. If they all kind of suck on a regular basis, then let's opt for the one that can offer you something. Amazon offers you the best deals in ebook pricing (if you want to read what they have on offer, naturally); Sony offers you excelent well built devices (at least the 505, the only one I had in my hand); and they can easily put in market nine diferent varations of the same device, just to grab market share.
Bookeen could make a diference by actually delivering what it promises.
(I never understood why it could not offer firmware upgrades regularly - say, monthly, even if jut to fix minor bugs. Their blog could also be... alive!)
To survive, a small company must be different.
Bookeen can't, or just doesn't. Not enough, at least.
