Yep mine makes that noise as well when you touch the screen. Gives me a buzz at nighttime.
If you turn the unit over, take the back off and use a microscope you will see thousands of small crickets actually processing your touch entries.

Techi Bit: I should add, it is probably because the touch sensor is using a low frequency to XY coordinate where your finger or pen has actually touched the screen. This is then resonating on something inside the unit. i.e. Normal behaviour for Sony Reader, although in most touch products you can't actually hear it.
