I tried Shortcovers on my Pre, but it appears it has to revisit the internet frequently to update as I read. I can make a lot of guesses why the producers had good reason to develop it that way, but it doesn't meet my needs (especially not for reading on airplanes!). I'm holding out for a Kindle app for my Pre, though in fairness I can't imagine sitting and reading on that screen for long periods. Still would be nice to have for short bursts of reading!
