Now I'm on the fence about whether I should go back and look at the Kindle DX. If I have to run the PDF's through a conversion to get them display well, anyway, I may as well so and get them to show up on a display that's close to a printout in size. I had discounted the DX since to make annotations one has to convert the file. It's not like I HAVE to make annotations by hand in margins, usually I'm just underlining something and jotting down a word or two. For which the button keyboard should suffice. I still think it looks dorky, though.

Sigh.
