I find that with every new device, there's always a period of adjustment, and there's always something that is found to be "missing".When I got my first reader,it took me a while to get used to it...I even considered returning it-if I kept waiting for the next best thing,or the ideal,I might never buy any of them. From the three sony readers I have owned thus far,I still prefer the screen of the 505 to that of the 700 and now the 600. I have not seen the 300 in person (had not seen the 600 until three days ago when it was sent as a replacement)....ultimately you have to choose what works best for your needs, and for most of us that "ideal" isn't out there-once you have it,you tend to think of something that may or may not be missing...but for me,the readers I have owned so far have served most of my purposes and requirements, otherwise I never would've bought them...(and my back is thanking me profusely as I no longer overburden my suitcases, briefcases or pocketbooks with mutliple books!)
