Canadian copyright lasts for the life of the author plus 50 years. Works enter the Canadian public domain on the 1st January afterwards.
So anyone who died in 1958 entered the Canadian PD on 1 January 2009.

We keep some US server space for works that are PD in the US but not in Canada.
Only moderators can move things to the US servers. Quite a few uploaders just report their own upload post, so that we can move the file quickly.
