I have a PRS 600, but I assume that supply requirement for the 300 is the same.

I was given a version 1 TomTom unit recently and the mains charger and car charger both give out 5.2V (less a few 10's of mV, as I checked it before plugging it in!) and the contact is correct for the 600.
