Thanks for the link. I hadn't seen that. That's sooner than I expected. I must admit I was somewhat resigned to having to wait until the end of October. I did see some rumors from a while back that mentioned the 9th though, which is close.

I'm still undecided on which way to go on this. Price favours the Kindle 2, and books are generally a little cheaper at Amazon than B&N too. However the DR800SG makes much better use of space (for me) and the 8" display makes the reading area about twice as large. I suspect when I see the DR800SG I'll get completey carried away and spend the $399 though

. I have some Best Buy gift cards I can use too which will help.
