After watching the play.com price bounce up and down over the last couple of months, I've decided to grab a Sony Reader PRS-505 while they have them at £160. Still waiting on delivery as I only placed the order last night.

As there seems to be a wealth of experience about the 505, hardware, converting files for it, modding/hacking it, it seemed sensible that I sign up to the forum fully so I can join in fully.

Plus, the community-uploaded versions of public-domain stuff looks like an excellent way to catch up on a lot of stuff that I "really should have read already". I'm downloading a small heap of those so I'm ready to go as soon as it arrives.
