I would find that facscinating (of course). But I think that it would have a nice niche audience as e-books are going to become more and more relevant. The business side and business models and technology will fluctuate a lot, so I especially like the approach - elements/movements/influencers/special interests/etc.

It may just turn out to be one of those books that all the later analysts reference as describing for "elementary forces" in the development of a "future status quo", especially as it's compared and contrasted to music and movies. And there's no lack of territory with business, legal, political, historical, moral, human nature, fairness, idealist, etc angles on the topic.

Why don't you just write it up this weekend for us? ;-)
