A co-worker of my husband was in an accident while driving a Smart car. A big pick-up truck (very much the favored vehicle here in rural Virginia
) ran a red light and hit him in the driver's side. He spent weeks in the hospital and to this day does not remember the accident. He is VERY lucky to be alive. Smart cars are just to small to be used around here.
