Kris I've got a black one, had it for about 6 months now, and I love the heck out of it.
Been reading a few horror story's about people dropping them and breaking the screen. OUCH While I've dropped mine a couple times its always been on carpet.
Personally I love the wide variety of formats that it will read. Although the vast majority of my reading is done in .rtf or .doc.
I tend to convert all my .pdf's to text files as its just easier to read without having to scroll the screen each page. I do have a couple of basic converters, amber lit for lit to doc/rtf, HTML to text, and zilla pdf to text.
Although I'm looking for a better *.lit batch converter.
